LOL first of all…I am shit at giving advice but kayyyy. My answer is…get yo self some planks..maybe at Bunnings, then build a bridge and get over it….
LOLjoookkeeess!!! I’m kidding! I’m not slack :( alrighteos then I’ll just give examples of what I’d do :)
- Venting: I reckon this would be a huge need…Someone to turn to whenever they feel something’s ain’t going right for them or they feel emotionally hurt. I’ve turned to my close friends MANY TIMES and I’ve told them how I felt in the past, during those times when I felt hurt and unsettled and it was always good to “LET IT ALL OUT! AND LET IT ALL GO!” Ofcourse, you’ll still feel hurt and unsettled after telling someone, since the feelings wouldn’t just miraculously go away and disappear but it made me feel better, knowing that someone is there to listen and actually care about how I was feeling.
- Change: LOL I don’t know if this is effective to other people but this was quite effective to me. After a few kerfuffles and some “speed-humps” of life I wanted everything to just simply change. I wanted my surroundings to change and I wanted “me” to change. So I started changing parts of my lifestyle, like what I do during the day, the structure of my bedroom..even my own self-image. I think one example would be when I legit tried changing my whole wardrobe and I full cut my hair and dyed it red and purple multiple times because it somehow kept me…occupied and it made me feel happy? LOLs also, when an individual experiences hardships and obstacles in their life, it’s inevitable that they’ll experience a huge change so might as well go with that change and use it to make yourself happy :)
- Hobby/Keeping Busy: this I’d say is a pretty good one. Find a hobby in which you could do regularly to keep your mind at ease and occupied. For me, I continued on with playing guitar and tried improving my skills :) I also started to focus with school work since I’m almost finished with school :’) and yeah having that focus back to school is heaps great, since my grade started show slight improvements :)
- Rest: It’s always important to keep yourself well rested, instead of mourning about your problems late at night.
- Last but not least….PRAY: I’d say this is the best. It’s one thing that saved me. It was so hard to pray for the problems I faced and the hurts I felt since I was heaps spiritually dry. I continued to serve in YFC even though my mind and my heart weren’t in the right place but praying to GOD helped me through it. I even had a prayer diary where I wrote down my prayers :) So yeah praying is just amazing because God is always there to listen :) <3
